Dan Phillips
Dan Phillips is Senior Counsel with Sherwood & Robert. Dan Phillips’ practice focuses on complex litigation and transactional cases including business transactions, business torts, business dissolution, nursing home negligence, oil & gas transactions, real estate transactions, and condemnation. Dan’s practice areas also include elder law, probate, and personal injury. Dan also provides services as outside general counsel to businesses of varying sizes handling contracts, business acquisitions, real estate transactions, human resources matters, and risk assessments.
Dan has over eight years in the oil & gas industry and has served as General Counsel for an Oil & Gas / Wealth Management company. Dan has also worked in Oil & Gas land management and is well versed in all aspects of oil & gas transactions.
While at the University of Tulsa College of Law, he served as Articles Editor for the peer-reviewed Energy Law Journal. He was a member of the Phi Delta Phi honors fraternity. He was on the Dean's honor roll, received the Gardere & Wynne Environmental Law Award, and Cali Awards (highest grade) in Civil Procedure, Environmental Law, and Oil & Gas Law. He was also the recipient of the Inaugural Chesapeake Energy Corporation Scholarship.
